In Caroline's kindergarten class, each week the teacher selects someone to be "The Big Cheese." Caroline was the second one chosen. She got to bring home a backpack that had a journal, some books, and a couple of games for us to play throughout the week. In the journal, she was to write down what she had been doing for the week as the Big Cheese. On Friday, all of us were supposed to come to her class, so she could introduce her family, share her favorite snack (goldfish crackers and a juice box), and have me read her favorite book to the class ("Fancy Nancy"). She make a poster to share with her class of pictures of her and her family. We had a great time. We are so proud of her and simply adore her!

Here she is sharing her journal!

She had more fun making and sharing this poster. It was a lot of work being the Big Cheese, but it sure made her feel special to have this experience. She has a wonderful teacher who loves Caroline and recognizes all of the wonderful things about her.

Aubrey's a big Fancy Nancy fan, too! I like the books - I think they're cute. ;)
How great to be the Big Cheese! Caroline looks like she stepped up to the challenge!
Love how teachers have a way to make each of the kids feel special.
